I took some of the images from the Tokyo alley ways and had a little fun in photoshop. Feel free to steal any of my images just by clicking on them to make them larger!

Unseasonable weather found us in Tokyo but we didn't get the worst of the typhoon that was hitting more southern Japan. The rain limited us to shopping more shopping, museums, more shopping, eating and did I mention shopping. :) What fun!

After eating fresh sushi from Tskuji fish market Don checked an item of his bucket list, of course I was more than happy to partake.

Jonathan's is like Denny's except not at all. Check out the toast in comparison to the meal.

Shim & Don

The view from out hotel room. Kind of bummed I didn't get shots of our room.

The only clear day we got, love the vibrant colors in this shot!

Goood Golly.......sweets...sweets......sweets......sweets.....sweeets

A little mid day pick me up.......I love Don's little milk pitcher.
Hong Kong & Macau

This was our first taxi ride in Hong Kong. Our driver had 2 GPS and 5 cell phones he used simultaneously while being an excellent tour guide. What a guy, he had it going on!

Our ahhhmazing hotel room!

DREAM!

Time Square

I couldn't get over the juxtaposition of new and old in Hong Kong. You would see a Gucci store under an old dilapidated building with underwear hanging out the window. I enjoyed that everything wasn't gentrified and separated.

Night market!!! I actually ate some street food, pork jerky to be exact and I liked it!

street fortune teller

Tram ride to Victoria Peak

This is a really beautiful view of the edge of Hong Kong & you can see KowLoon Bay. This still dose not capture the true vastness and density of the city. Guess you gotta be there.

Worlds longest travelator....

Here we are travelating......

More travelation......

sitting on the deck of our hotel

We stay at JAI hotel in Causeway bay & we couldn't have picked a better hotel. Designed by Philip Stark, the peaceful entry way felt so serene to come into after being on the hectic streets.

Every night on Kowloon Bay you can view a light show of the city!! The buildings are covered with LCD lights that change to a soundtrack they play on loudspeakers, it is quite amazing and it last for about 15 minutes. Hooray for light pollution!

Hong Kong Sky Line

Don and I took a trip to Macau Island which is an hour boat ride south west of Hong Kong. It is know as the Vegas of Asia and actually has a higher revenue than Vegas per year. It was not our lucky day however, it rained all day. We did have dim sum, a traditional Chinese meal at the Wynn....nummy

This is the Turbo Jet Boat we took from Hong Kong to Maucau, I wish I got better pictures of this island.

A little coffee and sweets at the Wynn.

Doing the tourist thing, inside a Casino...can't remember which one.

On the streets in Macau .......I love all the bright signs, total sensory overload.

I love this sign..... Don pointed this out to me!

The two shots are long exposures taken at night outside our hotel window.

mmmm..... Romance. Don and I got all dolled up and had a fancy dinner date at Aqua Lounge, it has expansive windows and breath taking views of Kowloon Bay....not to mention ahhhmazing food.

We took a cable car ride to the Tian Tan Buddha Statue and had lunch at the Po Lin Monestary. It was nice escape out of the city and had amazing views of all side of the island.

We paid extra so we could get the glass bottom cable car, totally worth every penny. Obviously Don was pretty excited.

The inside of the Po LIn Monastery

Here I am making an offering to the the Big Buddha but obviously in the wrong direction. haha

Hong Kong airport.
